A Layout & A Card

First up is a layout I completed just before I went to Newcastle. From Newcastle my sister & I flew out to France. It was a fabulous week of very hot sunshine. I spent my days sitting outside until lunch just enjoying the peace & quiet of the French way of life.
We stayed at the same Gite & it was home from home.

Next is a card I made my sister when I posted my cheque up to her for my half of the holiday.
The photo is significant to Tracy as it is the Gite.

I wanted this layout to document the good things that have happened
in the four years since this photo was taken.
I wanted to get as much hand writen journalling as possible onto the page.
Paper was given to me by my SSG Secret Santa.

The card was made using a Kraft card blank.
Paper BG June Bug - Picket Fence (reverse)
Stamp - Craft Individuals
Photo taken by me last year in France.

Both projects so personal and so professional. Wow, they both work so well. It is so good to see photos used to document something rather than just as an embellishment. Love them. Hugs, Buttons x

I'm so glad you had a lovely, relaxing time in France, Paula. We all need time to recharge our batteries and you come back raring to go again, well that;s the theory anyway. We just wanted to go back again!!!!!!
Anyway, your LO is beautiful, what a lovely photo of you. It's great to see so much journalling. I used to be afraid of using my own writing as it's not pretty but I do now, after all our writing is "us" isn't it?
Hope you have settled back into every day life.
Hugs Lisax

Your photograph and the LO work together awesomely well, Paula!!! The taken picture itself already is well done, but you really framed it with an amazing LO artwork and thus created a new whole, that is so much more than just the single parts put together. That is what I call art!!!!

Love it!!!!!!

Hugs,
die amelie xxx

PS: the red pullover fits you so perfectly!!!!! And so glad to hear, that you enjoyed Paris so much!!!
