AJ WK37 draw something & TMTA- Coca Cola

The Art Journal prompt this week is to draw something yourself.
I always doodle at work when Im waiting for spreadsheets to open.
So I covered my card with some new paper, Papermania, Inspiration Earth Tones.
(Had my pixie eyes on these a while!!) The I went over one of my pencilled doodles
with silver pen & coloured it in with pencil crayons.


The TMTA prompt was Coca Cola! I was very shocked to see this & had a bit of blind panic!
Then I remembered this vintage cigarette card I picked up some time ago. It was the 1940's swimming suit ad. I scanned it in & printed it out twice wallet sized. I cut the girl out & attached her onto the main image with foam pads. The side shot shows it more clearly. The red bottle top I had from Wilkos. I cut out the red circle emblem from the main design, glued it to the top & placed it on the spot it should be. I was quite nervous about doing this as Coca Cola images are meant to be copyright. But mine was a puchased piece at a place called Hemswell, where they have antiques, cigarette card collections & other bric-a-brac. My BIL, used to collect old cigarette images as his grandfather owned a tobacconists.
