DCM - Charity Begins At Home

Make a card from charity shop finds was this weeks' Friday dare. Well I finished work early today & went to 4 charity shops. There was pretty much very little doing. They tend to mainly stock clothes & little else unless they have their own goods to sell. Crystal, gem necklaces are popular but at £4 & over hardly something to stick on the front of a card!!!
However I did find a pack of these split cane coasters & they got me thinking about some stickers by craft work for 99p that I bought last weekend, to go with my new papers, Papermania Inspirations Earth Tones. I also treated myself to their new gatefold cards. Im hopeless at measuring my own!

Here is the finished result.
I cut the window out & glued on two pieces of lace, cut from a sleeve of a blouse Im too fat for & coloured it with coffee. They make cafe style curtains. The papers suited these stickers so well. The coasters are backed with fine webbing so I was able to cut them to look like a small picket fence & it stuck on quite well with double sided tape.

There are more stickers in the pack. I bought the tea & coffee packs they are so sweet. I liked the lace on the chairs which gave me the curtain idea. The pictures on the wall are mini Italian paintings found on the net & printed very tiny!! These papers are just devine & I doubt I will not want to give this card away now it is finished!
I had picked up some fabric remenants from a basket in one shop intending to make tiny curtains, but after pricking myself several times I lost the patience. Years ago I would have sewn for hours making dolls house things!! The pixie is too tired & very long overdue some time off work!!
