I have wanted to share this for a week or two.
However, now matter how hard I tried, I
just could not get a decent photo.
Having two days off work meant the chance to have another go
& after 7 shots, I think I got the one!!
This is page 18 (final one) in the 2014 Journal.
I have learned not to journal this size again!!!
Seriously I have struggled with the height of the pages.
I think it is A4 and I am going to hand make
the next one at about 6"h x 10" w so I am less
daunted by how to fill all that space up top!
I do have the front & back covers to make.
At present it is plain black.
The paper inside was only about 60LB so I
tore lots out and doubled every page up before they
were attached back to back for strength.
Hence why only 18 entries!
My final spread was chosen simply because I had
covered Autumn & it was December & I was seeing
more Deer in the fields than usual. I daydreamed about
seeing them in fields covered in snow - hence this page was born.
Very simple to create gluing dried out baby wipes and [painting
white then adding some glisten to the snow using
Tim Holtz Stickles Rock Candy and clear Wink of Stella
Memory Box Deer Trio die and for the forest effect I
used Craft Individuals trees and the stamping off technique
to achieve different shades of black.
For the sky I applied lots of water to the gesso around the tree tops
then added Autumn Skies Primary Element and dragged it right out.

Its gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page Paula, it would be lovely to see the deer like this.
