The challenge this week on Saturday's Workout is Textured Paint. I can tell you that earlier this evening, this piece of work was sat in the bin as a piece gone wrong. Then I had an idea & it was resurrected. I didn't use paint, I used a very thick layer of gesso but it dried too flat really for my liking. Still, after adding red acrylic paint in two shades the texture stands out far more.

Marvelous save, Paula!!! Your color and textures are fantastic. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I love this!! Isn't it nice that when at first you think you have to through it away, it hits you, and you save the piece! I love this color and the stamp... yum......
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
Wonderful. Your texture is perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lovely soft piece, Paula! If I might make a suggestion, the texture shows up better if you use a dry brush with a contrasting colour, lightly brushed over the top. I used silver and black acrylic paint dry-brushed over the mauve paint just to highlight the raised areas. HTH!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the texture, Paula! It looks so dreamy...sigh!
