WS - Take a Ride

The theme over on Wednesday Stamper is Take a Ride & I was inspired to create this piece of art from a set of travel stamps I have sat on my craft desk. I made the 4x4 background by stamping a protion of it with my Crafty Individuals Harlequin stamp in Rangers archival black ink & colouring over it with Versamagic Chalk ink, Gingerbread. I tore a strip of black script paper from 7gypsies & glued it down next to the stamped section & inked the rest of the piece with caramel & butterscotch Adirondack dye inks & a touch of Versamagic chalk ink Pumpkin Spice. The tag is torn & inked in denim Adirondack around the edges. I stamped the car, masked it off & stamped the sign post so it appears to be behind. Then I added the word travel. I finished ot off by stamping the word journey & inking the string attached to the tag.

You made a great card for this theme. I would have difficulties with it, as I haven't any stamps with cars and so on...
Love from Karina

Hi Paula, I've just found your amazing blog from the Dragonsdream Tag It On challenge and I am so glad I did. I love finding new blogs and just falling in love with them, which is what has happened with yours. I love what you do. To find a fellow scrapbooker is great but I love what you do with the distress inks, those colours are beautiful and your artwork is awe inspiring. I've come away armed with loads of ideas to try out as soon as possible.
I love your time flies tag and shall be back to visit often.
