Art - inspired by Storage?

You bet!!!
I just bought some new storage.
I have to craft in my living room and so I bought
book boxes and chests to disguise my stamps & dies!

I loved the browns and the French imagery.
So I decided to make this mini canvas to match.

I used Madame Payraud Tissue and the butterflies were
cut from a sheet of the matching paper.
I coloured it using oil pastels & painted the edges
with Burnt Umber Acrylic paint.
The Eiffel Tower was part of a wooden design
& I added a small Wood Veneer Studio Calico Bicycle.

Then while preparing my evening meal I found this little guy!
My very own Heart Shaped Spud!!!

We clearly must be singing from the same hymn sheet Paula! I was just thinking the other day that my storage needs disguising and faux books and chests are definitely the way forward. LOVE your canvas. It has such a shabby chic feel to it and the colours work really well. Jenny x

Don't they look fab and functional Paula? I see a nice collection of craft books there too. Gorgeous canvas - perfect match for your new storage. What a cute shaped spud - much nicer than that one I saw on FB the other day lol.

Hi Paula! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving some sweet comments. That means so much to me! Love your way of storing your crafting items on your living room shelves! Pure genius and all of your boxes make for very cool art. :) I also really your little canvas that you made. So pretty! And the spud...how appropriate for this time of year! :) Have a great weekend. <3 Candy
