Dad turned 80 on Wednesday (9th March)
He wanted no fuss & so I made this special card using the fantastic Platform pop up die.
This is from the brand new Spring release from Lawn Fawn. All dies are from the older
Build A House collection of dies & add on sets. Cardstock is a mix of manufacturers,
Lawn Fawn, Heffy Doodle & Gina K Designs.
I also used dies from the Pumpkin House die set, Lawn Fawn.
My trellis are fence pieces from the Spring add on with the points clipped off. The foliage and flowers are from the Pumpkin House set. I added black centres to the flowers to make them look like Black Eyed Susan, one of Dad's favourites. The house was cut short to create a bungalow & for my card on the back, I decided to create it to look like the rear of the property with tiny windows, also from the Pumpkin set. I ink blended the sections on the ground to look like earth, grass & paving. I used the mail box upsidedown to look like a spade. I used distress ink on Bristol smooth for the main mechanism & dragged colour with a cotton bud to look like grass. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent creating all these layers and flowers.
