Happy Birthday, Dad & Vintage Journey Challenge!

Today is my Dad's birthday & I made the card below.
Typically I was quite poorly last weekend and it was a struggle to complete
& photograph. so the image is poor :(

This next card is for A Vintage Journey Challenge
Anything Tim!
This is a brand new challenge blog which has some very
talented people on the DT. Go check it out!

To be honest, they are both totally Tim Holtz but I guess my
Dad's birthday card does not really fit with the
Vintage/Shabby theme.

I got to play here with some of my favourite techniques!
Wrinkle free distress, lemon juice distress
(to add nice aged spots to my design)
except these came out a gorgeous caramel colour.
And, I also used the Perfect Distress technique.
The writing isn't too clear  under the fragment but it says
Its the little Things that makes life big.
A TH stamped quote.

Thank you for looking :0)

Both fabulous cards Paula. I hope your Dad has had a great birthday and I bet he loved his card with those wonderful images and deep colour palette. Your second card is wonderfully distressed and designed and the fragment is a perfect addition. Thanks for hopping aboard a Vintage Journey and sharing your lovely creations with us.
hugs {brenda} xx

Hi Paula, wrinkle free distress is one of my favourites too and you have used it beautifully here. The fragment is a great addition, I enlarged the photo and the sentiment shows really well. Thanks so much for joining in our Anything Tim challenge at A Vintage Journey. Anne x

PS, love your first card too!

Love the deep purples of the first card, and gorgeous inky depths... and the glowing golden sepias of the second card are just fantastic. Great butterfly stamping too!
Thanks so much for joining us on A Vintage Journey, and for your visit and lovely comment - so much appreciated.

Paula Jane... Your cards are beautiful! I think I am partial to the more shabby earthy toned one but I love butterflies! But both are stunning and perfect examples of Tim style but yet all your own! Thanks so much for joining us at A vintage Journey and thanks for the lovely comments you left on my blog! Hugs, Candy

Like so many before me I am rather partial to both cards Paula. The strong background colour in the first is so dramatic and the second is right up my street - packed full of techniques and shabby gorgeousness. Thanks so much for joining us at A Vintage Journey. Jenny x
