Saturday Stampers - Treasures

The challenge this week was Treasure. What do we treasure. I decided to make a weekend project out of the challenge & put together this minibook all about my BIL, Nigel. I treasure the memories I have of him & the things that we shared when he was alive. There was more & I might add extra pages. I almost ran out of paper as I had made this from the remains of a paper kit that I made my last two scrap layouts from. The pages are cardboard dividers from an index box. The sort you can pick up from any stationery shop.

All the pages are stamped with clocks to inidicate time as most of these pictures are very old & none were taken with a digital camera. I had to print them small to keep a reasonable quality to them.

I have made a slideshow of the book before it was put together & it is in my gallery. I was hoping the pictures were quite close up but they seem not to be!!!
Nigel was a bundle of fun & never missed an opportunity to do party tricks such as balloon dancing & have a laugh.

AAE page 2 & 4x4 Friday B&W

This is a second page for the All About Eve challenge #7. I might have finished it too late. It is also an Inter team sketch challenge. The sketch was found by my teamie on this sketch blog.
Papers are from the same kit as my last piece, flower, Dunhelm. Rub ons Royal & Langnickel.

This is my entry for this weeks' 4x4 Friday challenge, Black & White.
I selected Art Nouveau as I love this style & it is so colourful but looks equally stunning in B&W. The picture is of one of the grand masters of the period,
Charles Rennie Macintosh.

DCM - In The Frame

The very latest dare from the DCM, is frames. Well, recently they seem to appear frequently on my designs so it was hard to come up with something different. Where on earth I got the idea to make Christmas cards I just don't know, Im certainly not feeling festive..lol!
Card 1, frame made with rich deep blue velvet ribbon. Tree is stamped onto artists watercolour paper to give it a soft bled effect. I randomly stampe tiny snowflakes & attached tiny silver brads at each intersection. The air was blue while doing that..

Card 2, papers are from K&Co, an old pack of Xmas from two years ago. Frame alcohol inked with Adirondacks' Mountain Vineyards set. Stamps, Dovecraft, Hampton Arts. Leftover ribbon pieces..

Now for a Tag.

4 Places I have worked.

Bishop Burton College of Agriculture, Warners' French Lingerie factory, Select Education, Johnstone Insurance.

4 Places I have Lived.

Immingham. Bishop Burton, Beverley. Sedgebrook, Grantham. Scunthorpe.

4 Places I have visited on holiday.

Brixham, Devon. Flamborough Head, Bridlington. Troutbeck, Ambleside. Corbridge, Northumberland.

4 Favourite Foods.

Goats' cheese salad. Roast Lamb. Chicken Saag. Spring Rolls.

4 Places I'd rather be now!

Just right here at home..........

Wednesday Stamper - Moo Cards

I had heard about these mini cards but never in crafting. So I was intrigued to see how I could make something soooo small. Ladies, how on earth you do inchies is beyond me!! Mind you, I have relatively few stamps suitable for the task & it took longer to select them than it did to actually make these little guys. I have grown close to them already, something so small & sweet deserves affection..lol, but hope I don't become addicted as I have no idea how I would use them!!!
The hardest part of all was trying to get a photo of them. I have had to prop them against a piece of white card to keep them upright, but I notice one has slipped slightly!

Stamps are See D's , flowers, leaves & pot, The Artistic Stamper, fob watch & quote.

DCM LE -Vroom & Arty Girlz- Flowers

Firstly, I would like to say, Thank You for the lovely comments I have been receiving on my blog. I often wonder how on earth I find time to create so much when I'm out at work 7 hours a day. But, I think if you have creativity in you, the golden rule is to MAKE TIME! I have learned the hard way about working more than playing. Recently I have had so much mojo that I'm chomping at the bit to get home & often sketch my designs while waiting for the stupid spreadsheets to load. Never waste a precious minute when it can be spent making something useful... an old adage I heard many times from my Grandma.
Secondly I am thrilled to have won one of the two RAK's over on the Arty Girlz blog. I am very chuffed. Sam won the other.
Now onto the cards.
This first one is for the DCM, LE challenge. I bought these travel stamps two years ago & have barely used them. Felt it was high time I did. Papers are K&Co. Ephemera, also K&Co. Envelope, from a friend :0)

This one is for the new challenge over on Arty Girlz, Flowers.
Sadly the colour of the alcohol inks intensify in this poor light & it is far softer IRL.
I cut a square frame & added some stamped flowers around the edges.
In the centre I stamped the wheelbarrow stamp & then attached another one over the top.
The small vellum flowers haven't come out quite how I planned them.
Stamps, See D's. Paper, Papermania. Alcohol inks, Red Pepper & Cranberry, Adirondacks.

Now its time for me to cook my tea & do some boring chores! Roll on break from work.

3 Challenges in One Post!

Arty Girlz, challenge 1.
I only just got this done before the second one goes up tomorrow.
It was made last night, but the camera batteries died on me!
It is a 5x5 piece & serves as an attractive desk reminder of the regular weekly challenges.
Background paper is Papermania Inspirations Earth Tones. Stamped with pocket watch images & time quote, Artistic Stamper & leaves, Habico.
Overlay is a inkjet transparency printed with the days & the challenges. Boy was that fun as the stuff has to be on the rough side on the reverse so the text has to be reverse to begin!
Once printed it was fastened to the piece using 4 small gold brads & then I inked the whole piece very lightly with Adirondack Alcohol ink, Butterscotch,

Art Journal wk38, I wonder...
Background is a page from an old book, lightly washed with two acrylic paint colours, pink & brown. Over the top of this is a piece of acetate inked with Adirondack cranberry & currant.
Leaves along bottom are created in paintshop pro using picture tube.
Leaves stamped & cut out. Words printed on a small piece of self adhesive vellum. My supply of this is now empty & can't find a stockist!!

TMTA - Smile

What makes me smile. Well quite a few things do, but the most obvious that springs to my mind is this picture of my cat, Thomas when he was just 6 or 8 wks old. It sits right here on my desk so I can see it everyday. I nicknamed him totty as he was so tiny. When he passed away I decided to call my card & crafts Tot Creations, in his honour. What also makes me smile is this gorgeous background kindly made & given to us crafters by the incredibly talented Hermine Koster.

Saturday Stampers - Trees

I found this new challenge blog, Saturday Stampers, last week & really wanted to take part. However, I had several items to complete for others & wanted the decks clear. I have only missed one challenge & that was poetry. I did my last GD DCM card mid week with a poem but as I had not stamped on the design it wasn't eligble for the challenge. Never mind, this one is & I adore trees. I especially love Autumn as the colours are amazing. Tree stamp, Inkadinkadoo & leaves, Autumn leaves 2, Habico. Frame is part of a transparency set by Crafty Bitz.

I stamped the front tree first in Versamark StazOn, timber brown I love what a crisp image I get with these inks on clear stamps & the ink comes right off the stamp onto the background. Sadly my coloured inks are rather cheap ones & the images are never quite so clear.
I use Pretty Color pigment inks which I got a set of 30 for £10 from Lakeland. I used golds greens & browns mixed for the two trees either side & only partially inked the stamp.
This tree was actually sold in a Christmas set but I thought it look more like a grand old Oak.

4x4 Friday #5 - France

This is a relatively new challenge that is now on week 5.
I have watched each week, eager to join in, but so far had too many other commitments to play along. You can find them here.
Here is my first piece. I was delighted the challenge was France as I recently got these new images from Crafty Computer Paper. The bicycle & word travel are both stamped from a travel set I have by Royal & Langnickel. The images are just collaged together. I'm quite impressed & hope to do the 4 I have missed at some point. I think the 4 in square size is perfect as there is enough space to fill but not too much that you struggle.

DCM - Charity Begins At Home

Make a card from charity shop finds was this weeks' Friday dare. Well I finished work early today & went to 4 charity shops. There was pretty much very little doing. They tend to mainly stock clothes & little else unless they have their own goods to sell. Crystal, gem necklaces are popular but at £4 & over hardly something to stick on the front of a card!!!
However I did find a pack of these split cane coasters & they got me thinking about some stickers by craft work for 99p that I bought last weekend, to go with my new papers, Papermania Inspirations Earth Tones. I also treated myself to their new gatefold cards. Im hopeless at measuring my own!

Here is the finished result.
I cut the window out & glued on two pieces of lace, cut from a sleeve of a blouse Im too fat for & coloured it with coffee. They make cafe style curtains. The papers suited these stickers so well. The coasters are backed with fine webbing so I was able to cut them to look like a small picket fence & it stuck on quite well with double sided tape.

There are more stickers in the pack. I bought the tea & coffee packs they are so sweet. I liked the lace on the chairs which gave me the curtain idea. The pictures on the wall are mini Italian paintings found on the net & printed very tiny!! These papers are just devine & I doubt I will not want to give this card away now it is finished!
I had picked up some fabric remenants from a basket in one shop intending to make tiny curtains, but after pricking myself several times I lost the patience. Years ago I would have sewn for hours making dolls house things!! The pixie is too tired & very long overdue some time off work!!

AAE - Remember

While the last challenge focused on the everyday today, we thought we'd piggyback on that to give you a challenge with a choice. Actually...a glimpse with a choice. Is there something in the past that you think about a lot? A best friend that you miss? The place you grew up? Your perfect wedding? Or maybe breakfast out with your dad every Sunday morning...just you and him. Anything in your past that just comes to memory right now? Or something that you've been thinking about lately maybe...Or, do you prefer not to dwell in the past? Maybe you like to think about what the future may bring? Where will you be next year? In 5 years? In 10? Where do you want to be? Or maybe you have plans for something special, a goal in mind, and you hope that you make it?Scrap that glimpse...past or future...but scrap it!

Here is my layout.
This is a close up of my hidden journalling.
Papers are from a paper & embellishment pack I picked up at The Range. The colours just spoke to me. They have no names. Flowers are Scrapfairies. Title, MM glitter stickers. Memory meaning rub on, & weather vane, Create a Collage,Royal & Langnickel.
Buttons, brads & photo turn all papermania.
Journalling reads,
I remember the days when this was a very well kept home with fabulous gardens & furnishings.
Mr & Mrs Cullum owned it & I used to go for sewing lessons as she made wonderful soft toys.
Sadly they are gone & this will be knocked down..
I made the mouse 30 years ago. The bungalow is a pre fab aluminium house pre war. There are only two left, in Immingham where I grew up. Perhaps now only one.
I have more papers from this kit & another idea so I might be doing TWO pages for this challenge!!!

Wednesday Stamper - Fish

FISH
come in many shapes and colours.
It is one of nature’s most colourful creature. Let all those odd, funny, gorgeous shapes and colours inspire you.
This is todays' theme for the Wednesday Stamper.
Being new to altered art/mixed media, I have no gorgeous background stamps to use, but I do own these See D's Morsels, tropical. They are full of leaves & fronds so I cut a rectangle out of some blue splash paper (Icy Rainbow, old type) & stamped in several shades of green & blue leaves & frond bits. Then I cut these tropical fish from a very old decoupage sheet & placed them ontop using foam squares to lift them up.

DCM LE - A Golden Moment

Please keep those One Word cards coming - they are fantastic and so inspiring for us all - remember this dare stays open till Friday so loads of time left yet.
However, just in case you're ready for another little nudge in the crafting direction we have our usual midweek Little Extra.
This time we are giving you just One Word as the inspiration for your card making and that word is GOLDEN
You can use the word in any way you like - the word itself doesn't even have to be on the card, for instance you could make a card in golden shades, or maybe inspired by the seasons of Spring or Autumn which both feature lots of golden colours. Or maybe you could make a card to celebrate a Golden Anniversary, and of course Gold is a great colour for Christmas cards.....It's up to you - just go for Gold We'd love to see your Golden Creations, so please come back when you've made your card and tell us where we can see it.
This is my last card as the Guest Designer on the DCM blog. I have had an amazing time. Im so pleased my mojo came back in time for this fun time & Im also very glad it is still going strong!!

I kept my card nice & simple for this challenge as I wanted the words to be the most important part of the design. This is my favourite poem, I wandered Lonely As A Cloud, William Wordsworth, as it is all about the beautiful daffodil. I have highlighted the word golden & made my image the beautiful golden daffodil fairy.

AJ WK37 draw something & TMTA- Coca Cola

The Art Journal prompt this week is to draw something yourself.
I always doodle at work when Im waiting for spreadsheets to open.
So I covered my card with some new paper, Papermania, Inspiration Earth Tones.
(Had my pixie eyes on these a while!!) The I went over one of my pencilled doodles
with silver pen & coloured it in with pencil crayons.

The TMTA prompt was Coca Cola! I was very shocked to see this & had a bit of blind panic!
Then I remembered this vintage cigarette card I picked up some time ago. It was the 1940's swimming suit ad. I scanned it in & printed it out twice wallet sized. I cut the girl out & attached her onto the main image with foam pads. The side shot shows it more clearly. The red bottle top I had from Wilkos. I cut out the red circle emblem from the main design, glued it to the top & placed it on the spot it should be. I was quite nervous about doing this as Coca Cola images are meant to be copyright. But mine was a puchased piece at a place called Hemswell, where they have antiques, cigarette card collections & other bric-a-brac. My BIL, used to collect old cigarette images as his grandfather owned a tobacconists.

Inter-Team Scraplift.

The original Layout can be viewed here. A fabulous brown & blue creation by, Kakamari. This was selected by Helen for this fortnightly lift. I was very late, only started it today, but am very pleased with the finished piece. Photo is of myself aged around 4. I refused to go to bed without my two dolls, Sandra (Teeny Tiny Tears) & Samantha (some random doll I saw & pestered my mum for!)
Papers are Urban Lily, Pretty in Pink & Lili.
Buttons, ribbon, swirl foam stamp (stamped & cut out) & the Sweet, in the title all papermania. Scroll stamps, DCWV. Dreams, MM metal word alcohol inked with Currant & Cranberry. I love these colours.

Kathy's Birthday (challenge)

It's Kathy's birthday on Sunday & this is a card made for her using her little challenge. 3 patterned papers, 3 different ribbons (the middle one is ver sheer lilac) & 3 seperate flowers (not 3 lots of petals to form one ). My paper was in a £1 kit. Blooms, scrapfairies, dome flower stickers, papermania (I love them so much) Bling a mix of HS & papermania.
Name Tag...
Janine tagged me with this. Anyway, here’s how it works:1. Players must list one fact, word, or tidbit that is somehow relevant to their life for each letter of their first or middle name.2. When you are tagged you need to write your own post containing your first or middle name game facts, word, or tidbit.3. At the end of your post choose one person for each letter of your name to tag.4. Don’t forget to leave a comment telling them that they have been tagged, and to read your blog.5. If I’ve tagged YOU (see below), please join in on the fun!
P pixie because that is what I am & I adore the little folk along with fairies, elves & goblins!
A animal lover. I love cats & dogs, but think all creatures are sweet.
U unkind deeds hurt me far greater than injury gained in any other way.
L less is more. That is my usual theory on many thing especially my crafting.
A altered art. I am in love with it & am steadily daring to try!!
Who ever reads this & fancies a go, consider yourself picked. I thought this was quite fun.

DCM - In A Word

It's Rhi who has set this weeks dare, fresh back from her honeymoon.

This week I dare you to use a Word as the main focal point to your card. It can be a name, a greeting or just a word that inspires you. You can use other text but only one word as a main embellishment. So dig out your dictionaries, die cutters, alphabet stamps, rubons or download a funky font and show us what you can do! The design team have come up with some fabulous creations to inpsire you.
Load your card onto your blog, then leave us a comment and we'd love to come and look at your cards. If you dont have a blog you can still join in too, just email a pic to thedaringcardmakers@hotmail.co.uk
Papers are the wonderful DCWV, Once Upon A Time. Image of the girl is one I purchased some time ago. She is below if you want to use her.

Toadstool & Dandelion Clock images scanned from my RSPB magazines. Frog Prince & tiny flying Fairy sourced from the internet (took ages!) Red flowers from an old silk flower arrangement at work, well it had seen better days & got binned! Metal Word, MM. Butterfly from a decoupage sheet. Clock behind the word I can't remember where I got the iage as I have had it many years. I adore timepiece images so much!
My only wish is that I could have found a unicorn in time for this design to stand behind her. I tried a fairy house but I have discovered when collaging, scale is very important & they all were to big or she was!
I hope to find the time to turn this into a canvas I have seen some delightful little ones about 4x6.
I am very happy with this card as it is a dream come true to finally collage images past efforts have looked cluttered & the scale was all wrong leaving me no choice to pull apart & salvage what bits I could & bin the rest!Fairy girl.

Wednesday Stamper - ATC Tryptrich

Technically this is a fraction too big as I misread the challenge to begin with & when I cut it down, I think my measurements are a fraction out!! But , this is my first go so I hope the ladies will go gentle on me!
I already have ideas for a far better one using alcohol inks, but for my first go, I didn't want anything too elaborate. I am very pleased with my effort.
I haven't decorated the other side of the panels just yet. This is going to stand pride of place on my shelves for a while to admire. Papers are Papermania, Inspirations,
Images are from a sheet downloaded from Crafty Computer Paper.
The butterfly wings from a butterfly image I scanned in from my RSPB magazine. Flowers, Scrapfairies & Crafty Carrot. Jewels in flower centres, Lakeland Ltd.
Scroll stamps, DCWV, Hampton Arts. Word Stamp, The Artistic Stamper.

I have never made one before, but have always wanted to.
I have spent the evening designing & planning mine & hope to have something to show tomorrow!!!
Challenged, I'd say so!
I'm also trying to learn something else new, but it isn't going well!

Two Posts in One Day - Crikey!!

My Second DCM GD Card... This is having to be added very quickly during lunch. There are a few ladies to whom I owe blog visits, I promise I will get to you today & I haven't forgotten the PIF people. You are selected & I will let you know soon.
Straight on to our Little Extra challenge for this week then:
Big & Little We'd like you to use items in pairs of Big and Little - so you need to have both sizes on your card ie big & little buttons, big & little die cuts, big & little hearts, big & little circles etc The theme of your card can be whatever you like this time, so that's nice of us, isn't it?
As usual, here are a few cards to get you thinking, don't forget to come back and leave us a message and we'll pop over to your blog to see your creations.Have fun!

My card uses BG, Stella Ruby. Thick & Thin ribbon, market stall buy. Hearts & plaques are all cut from cereal box card, painted with acrylics & the hearts are coated with 3D gloss for that shine. I competed the big & little theme by using big & small , HS bling!!! Love is white stick on letters from Asda.

AllAbout Eve - A Day in my Life

Another fabulous challenge over on the Eve blog. Most of my day is spent at work, so I decided to make this layout clip/noticeboard style & am really pleased with the finished piece. I lvoe the riot of colour without it being too "in your face" !I adore my funky title made from foam letters, some stick on crystal ones & my brand new HS chipboard alphas, centre of attention, lime. Papers are script, K&Co & some torn from a notebook. Ribbons are oddments from papermania collections, paperclps, staples, brads (to mimic pushpins, also papermania.) Scroll Stamps, DCWV, hampton arts.

AJ WK 36 Life is Beautiful & TMTA- Slidemounts

I have gone butterfly crazy today. I just saw one & it reminded me of fragile beauty.
This fitted the "Life is Beautiful " prompt perfectly for the Art Journal. The picture is one my friend, Joy sent me of glasswinged butterflies. I cut out tiny ones to sit on the edges & wrote in silver around the middle picture, Life is beautiful & soft like fragile wings...
Then I remembered purchasing this background paper on the TMTA ATC, quite some time ago not really having an idea how I would use it. I handcut my slidemount from white card as mine are all too large to place on an ATC & covered it in handmade onion paper which I bought in a craft shop in Corbridge, Northumberland. I also added a butterfly & wrote in silver pen, Love is like a gentle butterfly...soft, fragile, fluttering along... I'm afraid I'm no poet but I think it looks good!!

ATC Trade I forgot to Show!!

I did a private trade with the lovely Hermine a few weeks ago & I completely forgot to show the two that I made for her. So excited was I at recieving the ones she had so beautifully made me!!
Grab a mug of tea/coffee & spend a few minutes looking at her beautiful blog.

The first one, Miss Time is based on a card I made for a DCM dare, I loved it so much thought it would look cool in minature! The second, Lady in Red, is an alcohol inked background. I felt she needed no embellishing, she says it all & each time I look at her I keep remembering a book I red called The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant. She kind of looks biblical to me & the book was loosely based on biblical times. A very good read if you haven't.

Now as some may remember, I was PIF'd by Janine a week or so ago! (Gee where does time go??) Well I decided to select 5 people instead of 3 & will be revealing in due course who will be recieving little gifts from me & who are then PIF'd themselves.......

DCM - Christmas

I am very fortunate to have been asked to be guest designer over the next two weeks for the ladies on the DCM blog.
This is my first card challenge.

Well, the time has come for our first Christmas card dare of 2007.But as loads of you have already shown some fab Christmas cards on your blogs, we thought we'd make things a little more Daring, interesting, tricky or downright mean - depending on your point of view!
So, we'd like you to make and show a Christmas card which incorporates the following:
Some Paper Tearing
The colour Purple
AND
It has to have at least one hole somewhere in the design!
......BUT by "hole" we don't just mean the sort of hole you poke a brad through, or the holes you make for/with stitching - or even the hole you make to put an eyelet in - although you can use all those techniques too if you want.
We want you to be a bit/lot more inventive and creative than that, and we think you'll be able to come up with some wonderful ideas for making cards to fit this recipe. We'll leave it to you to guess which team member said "if I put Baby Jesus on my card, will that be "Holey" enough?"

Paper is from the old Icy rainbow pad, HOTP have now revamped it. (Have to say I don't like the new one half as much) Stamps are large holly, Anitas. Snowflakes, Dovecraft/Hampton Arts. The holly was stamped twice. The first had a leaf cut out & then the second stamping was heat embossed & attached with sticky pads to raise it up. Purple gross grain ribbon, papermania. Greeting compouter generated.

This has now been updated from my first attempt at work very sneakily this morning!!
The pic was too small!!!

Wednesday 5 September 2007

DCM extra -Soft & WS - Mulberry/Handmade paper

The DCM little extra was to use something soft on your card. Well I have used a lot of fibre of late so it was time for something different. The card didn't make it here this morning as it was too dark by the time I had got it finished. I had to sit & knit the three flowers first, which took until bedtime!
Papers are K&Co, Somerset. Large eyelets papermania. Leaves, Lakeland Ltd.
I left it greeting -less as some people like them completely blank.
Below is my card for the Wednesday Stamper.

We had to use mulberry/handmade papers & of course a stamp. I found this image courtesy of Vintage Resources a while back & wanted to create something heavenly for them. I think I have achieved this with the blue & pink textured paper & the gorgeous cream with gold pieces mulberry. I used gold metallic paint to stamp the star lightly so it didn't domiant the design & added smaller ones behind. To finish off I used a small cut out flower from my last DCM project.

Light ruins Crafting!!!

I was home late last night & never managed to finish any craft projects in time for good light! Photos are getting harder now as I find it is either too bright or too dark & the flash ruins the shots by making my papers look too pale & the design flat. It really annoys me!! So here is a pic of something I made a while ago. Just simple punched squares, a ornate stamp, blossom by Scrapfairie stamped with a love defintion by Anitas.
I took it into work & it was bought within 10 minutes! Really ought to make another with different colours! Oh well, I should have my DCM little extra to show tonight, when I can take the picture!!!

I was thrilled to see that my Reincarnation - Sindy page was selected as one of the favourites on the All About Eve challenge. Makes me feel really fuzzy & warm!! Thanks ladies.xx

AJ Wk 35- Strength & TMTA - Men

AJ prompt for this week, Strength. I admit I usually like my cards to have pictoral references to each prompt but somehow this paper from DCWV, Far East just spoke to me. It reminded me of flow charts & training workshops. I cut blocks out, wrote a word on each & then atttached them with foam tape to raise them like bricks in a wall. The arrows lead the eye down.
Below is my entry for the TMTA challenge, Men.
The men are my Grandfather & my Father as a boy.
I found this old corn merchant receipt on Vintage Resources & thought it pefect as we were a farming family back then. I inked & distressed all the edges. Paper is DCWV, Olde Worlde.

Inter Team Scraplift -Sept 2nd

Here is another team challenge. Papers are some off cuts from some old CherryArte. Photos are of myself going through a spectacles phase & doing Ronnie Corbett Impressions! Here is a link to the original on the 2peas gallery, by Kristina Contes.

Missed Mid WK DCM / Wednesday Stamper - Blue

These pictures were taken the same time, but the sun went in on the second shot! How different the colour is.
This card was in the bin following my disastrous attempt at the DCM mid week extra.
I chose "B" & it went wrong, but I have blue alcohol ink background, bear, butterfly, bookmark & if pushing my luck there are blue blooms, blue vellum pocket, the bear is brown!!!! Okay I might be!!
Bear is an image from Rein, one of her Monday shares.
I also wanted to enter this for my very first attempt at
Wednesday Stamper. I have seen this on all the TMTA ladies blogs & have longed to play. This week is Blue & you have to use a stamp somewhere on the card. I stamped the bookmark, that goes into the blue vellum pocket!!

ATC's Made By Hermine

I have admired Hermine's work for some time & I was delighted when she asked if I would like to do a personal swap with her. These two gorgeous cards arrived in the post. I love them!!

I have been PIF'd by Janine. It is Pay it Forward. I saw this some time ago on a blog in Australia & I understand the rules to select 3 random people over the next few days from my comments & send them a homemade gift. All you have to do is PIF others if you want happy mail. The gifts are made from the heart, to give someone a warm smile. I will email or leave a comment on the 3 blogs over the next week for your snail mail to send the gift to you. I love getting things in the post so I thought this a lovely idea.
