AJ WK50 & TMTA

Well as it is closer to Christmas now I thought I'd use an xmas feel to both today's challenges.
Art Journal week 50, Greatest gift. I decided that as I've done my best present on the suprise card weeks ago I would choose something less material. I decided that the greatest gift I have ever had is my creative hands! They are good all year round for things I cook, bake & make & at xmas they let me create beautiful things to keep & to give to be used all the next year. Sadly the pic isn't the best & the shot looks blurred. The snowflake is spotted. These are all scraps & bits of ribbon that others have given.

I used to be a cross stitch fan for years & do still make the odd item, but RSI caused me to give up.
I had this Santa half completed in my needlework box, so set to work & finished him for this weeks'
I stamped the card with holly & ivy & smudged a faint bit of red to give the white cardstock some colour. Adding shiny red brads for berries in the two corners.

Fab ATC Paula, love your cross stitching. I got into card making through cross stitching but like you I had to give it up due RSI, I have lots of unfinished pieces. The brads look great as berries. Your AJ piece is fab as well and I think along with eyesight and hearing creative hands are a great gift.

I love both cards, the little hands and the snowflake on the first card are so cool, and the santa cross stitch is fantastic!

I love the idea of hands for this week's card. I never even thought of them in terms of gifts but they really are. Great idea! I also LOVE your cross stitch card -- really beautiful and festive.

Nice work on the Santa, Paula! I used to do cross stitch as well, it was hard on the hands, but I also thought it went too slowly for me (or I was a slow stitcher, LOL)! Great Santa! :)
