Late Attempt at Arty Girlz

Well here is my attempt at the Arty Girlz Challenge. Not one of my better efforts but I am so frustrated I needed creative outlet. I had bad news from a friend which I can't share on here, but it has reminded me of my own health problems & how afraid I was when I was diagnosed this time last year with cysts.

Crafting is like a friend, always there when times are bad & I can't believe its bailed out on me. Still my flat is thanking me for it. I have lived here 10 years now & it shines like a new pin. Working full time makes you very lazy. I have found cleaning very therapeutic despite the fact I clean our office for an hour each morning before I start my real job at 9am. Perhpas there is a lot to be said for the art of Feng Shui & maybe my creativity is blocked by the lack of flow in my home. I'm not going as far as to re arranging all my furniture but clearing piles of clutter is more likely to be of help.

Hey, girlie. It's always a good thing to sit back and take a break from crafting from time to time. I read in the book "The Artist's Way" that you should see taking a break as filling up the creativity well, so to speak. =)

Been like that lately too. I actually cleaned the bathroom on my birthday, May 14, just 'coz I had nothing better to do. Haha. But then I went out and had dinner with one of my old college friends and left hubby and the little one at home just 'coz I felt I deserved it. Mwahahah.

Miss you, gal, and love that bicycle stamp! I always find the coolest images from your creations. =)

*hugs*

Paula, I really like what you did here. And I can so relate to the cleaning and not crafting jag. I kind of broke through and crafted a lot this weekend though :-)

I hope you are well and that your gf is able to come through this challenge well too. Take care.

Fab card Paula, love the stamp. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, hope all turns out ok for her. I'm not doing much crafting either, doing my weekly class prep seems to take so much time and I'm demoing 2 days over the Bank Holiday, so no time to do anything for me. Bet your flat looks fab, I really need to have have a good clean. Hope you have a good week and a great BH weekend.
