This dare fitted me perfectly this weekend. Apart from a couple of bits I need to finish off I had been asked for a selection of male cards. My friend Louise has her dad's birthday next week & the male cards I had were a bit too old for him! So this is the first & I hope to get a few more done once the retirement cards are out of the way.
The background is acetate & I have used alcohol inks & a fiskars corner punch, which i picked up for 99p today!! Yes, Im still in shock too!.
The inks are Adirondacks, Farmer's Market; Lettuce, Eggplant & Cranberry. I also stamped a steam train in the bottom corner & it s a light relief. My only permanent ink at the moment is timber brown stazon & black is really best!! The tag with the silver design is from a t-shirt a work colleague bought. They bring me ribbon, buttons & all sorts, I have them exceedingly well trained...lol.
Bless them , I am known to them as the office magpie. I stamped Happy Birthday onto it & then using some matching brown card, another office thrown away, I stamped the vintage car. The corners punched off are on the inside, which I had no time to photograph. The acetate is held on with two tiny black brads in opposite corners.
The weather is so bad I can't stay on line for long!!!

beautiful your tags are !who would have known they 're frm a t-shirt tag ! really great artistic effect with the alcohol inks ! gorgeous !
I love that frothy pink acetate background, it looks like sugar crystals or something like that. Must have a go using my A Inks with acetate.
The tags look good - I def. going to be more careful at keeping nice tags from now on!
Paula, you're not zillions of miles away from here, but it sounds like your weather has beem much much worse than we've had. We had a couple of days in the week with the odd rumble of thunder but thats about all.
Background looks fab and the tags are great. Brill card!!
Beautiful Card Paula, well done on training your workmates too lol.
great use of alky inks and acetate paula, gives a superb look to the card, thanks for sharing, and double dare :)
That AI background is so delicious, and really sets off the tags well. You obviously enjoyed this one!

This looks so effective Paula - fabulous stuff!
Cool & vibrant background! Sweet tag too. Fab card!
BEAUTIFUL!
Have a nice day!
Bety :)
Terrific card! I love it when someone gets a male card so right!! Sure do hope the weather improves for you soon :-) It's drizzly here but not stormy, and COLD for us (I live in the tropics so we're not used to cooler weather at all). Have had a fire the last few nights to keep the chill away - a lovely thing to do!!
Love this card - not got any Adirondacks inks but want some now!
That tag was too nice to throw away - at least your work mates save you decent stuff!
